La Salle des Seigneurs is a light and spacious C17th century village house with wonderful views across beautiful countryside as far as the Pyrenees mountain range, which on a clear day provides a majestic backdrop to this peaceful outlook. The property has a private walled garden full of the scent of roses, and the swirling swifts, swallows and house-martins are a further joy.

The house has been renovated to a very high standard, but still retains the charm of many original Gascon features. The main entrance is in a courtyard set back from the narrow lane that passes through the village and in front of the house. This entrance is formed by a stable door which opens into modern kitchen and breakfast area, off which is a utility room and separate w/c. A double door from the kitchen opens into a large, comfortably furnished sitting room, with a wood-burning stove in one of the original fireplaces. The dining room next door will comfortably seat 10 people. From the sitting room the staircase leads up into the sitting room/playroom. To one side is the master bedroom with en-suite shower room. On the other side is a large 'family guest wing' with two double bedrooms and private bathroom, ideal for a family with 2-3 young children.

The French windows in the sitting room open out into a garden enclosed by high stone walls and the old stable block. Next to the converted stable block is a covered terrace which includes a summer kitchen with a charcoal barbecue cooking area and a sink.

The walled garden is full of climbing roses, cottage plants and herbs; the lawn is ideal for croquet and 'boules' with the ancient well providing an interesting feature to be negotiated during play!

A particularly attractive feature is "La Roserie", a large open-plan apartment that overlooks - and is accessed from - the walled garden. It's completely self-contained with twin beds and sitting room located at one end; at the other end is a shower room and next to it a separate w/c. In between is a modern, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and dining area.

The entrance courtyard in front of the house leads across the village lane and through a fine wrought iron gate in a stone wall to the salt water swimming pool and its surrounding south-facing sun terrace. The pool is well-sited at the top of a large, sloping, south-facing orchard garden. The entire pool area is enclosed and securely fenced off from the house and walled garden.

La Salle des Seigneurs combines all the advantages of being in a small village with having complete peace and tranquillity. With its fully enclosed swimming pool (which has an electrically operated safety cover) this is the perfect holiday property for a family with small children.
